Saturday evening we were off to see Wicked - and it was phenomenal. The show is packed out night after night and plays to a standing ovation. While it was kind of cheesy, there were some though provoking lines - philosophers will get a wry smile out of 'learning to live an unexamined life', and ponder on whether indeed happiness is what happens when all your dreams come true. In the end, the wicked witch wasn't so wicked at all, and the good queen wasn't so good... but the music was superb, and the staging was dazzling. A top night out.
