The fictional village of Portwenn is the home of TV's Doc Martin - one of our favourite UK TV shows. Sufficient reason for a six hour drive to Cornwell to track down the real village, Port Isaac. The wind was blustery, the temperature was a mere 8 degrees, but the setting is absolutely stunning. After wandering a while, we found Doc Martin's cottage, clearly marked for the tourists.
