Dexys Midnight Runner
Here's a surprise - turns out our innkeeper at Port Isaac is a famous musician from the past. He tells us he was the drummer and songwriter from Dexy's Midnight Runners, which probably means his name is Andy "Stoker" Growcott. For a small village, it's an interesting place. The local band Fishermans Friends have just released an album, which has shot to the top of the national charts, and everyone seems very chummy with Martin Clunes and the other stars of "Doc Martin". This time next year, the cast and crew will have booked out our hotel, and converted it to Wenn House for the show.

Hi Crazy Cornwall Adventurers, So impressed by your sojourn around the coastal path. You have been so lucky with the weather - looks amazing. In regards to your famous host, that's what i love about the UK - around every corner is a claim to fame of some sort, and there's always a nutter you can use as a talking point. Just wondered if you'd thought about coming back across Dartmoor National Park and seeking out some Hounds of the Baskerville sites at Tor Rock etc. - Widecombe in the Moor is gorgeous village, in a valley with a spired church - there is a very atmospheric Inn there called The Rugglestone (well, it was there 8 years ago) complete with roaring log fires, flagstone floors, and all the local dogs sleeping on the hearth while the olds play cards.Anyway, it's kind of on your way back to London and we love it there. Keep living it up. Love Robbie (and Paul). PS Checked out how your girls are going with Suzy today.
