The falls fall right between Canada and the USA; on the Canadian side there's a bunch of tacky tourist shops, hotels and Casinos, and on the US side there's Buffalo city. The Canadians boast about their panoramic view of the falls, while the Americans claim the privilege of getting "up close and personal" with the streaming cascades. Both have their benefits, though I'd have to say I was a little disappointed that the falls weren't higher. They didn't quite match my imagination - then again, neither did the grand canyon. I'm a hard tourist to impress.
